abstract |
The present invention relates to an antibiotic peptide targeting the toxin-antitoxin system of Streptococcus pneumoniae, and a use thereof. Specifically, an antibiotic peptide of the present invention inhibits the formation of a toxin-antitoxin complex of Streptococcus pneumoniae, without affecting the active site of the toxin, so as to induce the killing of Streptococcus pneumoniae by means of the RNA degradation activity of an isolated toxin, and also exhibits antibiotic activity against other bacteria, thereby being effectively usable as an antibiotic composition. |
