abstract |
An imaging element according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a semiconductor substrate which has an effective pixel region in which a plurality of pixels are arranged and a surrounding region provided around the effective pixel region; an organic photoelectric conversion unit that has a first electrode which is provided on a light receiving side of the semiconductor substrate and comprises a plurality of electrodes, a second electrode disposed facing the first electrode, and a charge storing layer and an organic photoelectric conversion layer which are provided stacked in order between the first electrode and the second electrode and which extend in the effective pixel region; and a first hydrogen blocking layer which covers the top and sides of the organic photoelectric conversion layer and the sides of the charge storing layer. |
