abstract Provided is a cold atom beam generation technology that causes a cold atom beam to advance in a direction different from the advancement direction of pushing laser light. Using pushing laser light, a cold atom beam is generated from atoms trapped in a space. Next, the cold atom beam is deflected using the zero magnetic field line of a quadrupole magnetic field in a 2D magnetic optical trap mechanism, or the drift direction of an optical standing wave in a moving molasses mechanism.
