abstract [Problem] To achieve a more rapid anesthetic effect on fishes. [Solution] An anesthetic liquid is produced by the step of adjusting the salt concentration in water according to a subject to be anesthetized and further adjusting the concentration of carbon dioxide so as to have an anesthetic effect. One exemplary method for adjusting the salt concentration is to adjust the salt concentration closer to the osmolality of a body fluid of the subject to be anesthetized.
