abstract | The present invention relates to the technical field of environmentally friendly solvents, and specifically discloses a method for preparing trimellitic acid triester by means of a continuous esterification method, comprising: heating trimellitic anhydride and an alcohol to prepare an alcoholic solution, continuously driving the alcoholic solution into a heat exchanger by means of a high-pressure pump, heating same to a certain temperature, then introducing same into a continuous tube reactor for a pressurized esterification reaction, discharging the resultant from the reactor after a period of reaction, removing most of the alcohol by means of flash evaporation, and removing the remaining alcohol by means of heating, so as to obtain a trimellitic acid triester product having high purity. In the present invention, trimellitic acid triester is prepared by adding trimellitic anhydride, an alcohol and a catalyst to a mixing kettle to prepare a raw material reaction solution, performing a continuous esterification reaction, and then removing the solvent and water by means of flash evaporation. The obtained product has a trimellitic acid triester content of 99.5% or more and a platinum-cobalt scale of less than 15#, being capable of meeting the quality requirements of an intermediate for preparing trioctyl trimellitate by means of transesterification. |
