titleOfInvention | Copper phthalocyanine pigment composition and ink composition comprising same |
abstract | Existing ink compositions show promising improvement in ink viscosity at a certain level. When used in glycol ether-based inks required today, however, these ink compositions fail to prevent an increase in viscosity of the inks thus formulated. Moreover, there has been known no copper phthalocyanine pigment composition capable of achieving both improvement in ink viscosity and high re-dissolvability which is an important factor from the viewpoint of printability of glycol ether-based inks. Under these circumstances, the present invention addresses the problem of providing a copper phthalocyanine pigment composition that shows a low viscosity and high re-dissolvability when used in a glycol ether-based ink. The present invention has been completed based on the finding that the combined use of a copper phthalocyanine pigment with a specific copper phthalocyanine acid derivative makes it possible to give a pigment composition, when formulated into a glycol ether-based ink, said pigment composition showing a remarkably low viscosity and high compatibility with the ink. |
