The invention relates to a release liner having an extensive release effect, on both sides, directly in relation to adhesive masses with a good adhesive force even on low-energy substrates. This is achieved by with a release liner comprising an outer, continuous silicon release layer (SR1), a film (BF) containing up to at least 80 wt.%, in relation to the total weight of the film, of a polyolefin or polyethylene terephthalate in relation to the total weight of the film, a layer (PER) containing up to at least 80 wt.% of polyethylene, in relation to the total weight of the layer (PER), and an outer silicon release layer (SR2) on the layer (PER), wherein the layer (SR2) has missing areas such that 46% to 95% of the surface of the layer (PER) is covered by the layer (SR2). The invention also relates to a method for producing a release liner of this type and to the use thereof for covering a synthetic-rubber-based adhesive mass, wherein the adhesive mass is positioned on the silicon release layer (SR1). |
