abstract The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel method for producing 8-prenylnaringenin. The present invention solves said problem by providing a method for producing 8-prenylnaringenin which includes a step for causing 8-prenylnaringenin to be produced from isoxanthohumol in a solution which contains isoxanthohumol by one or more microorganisms selected from the group consisting of a microorganism which belongs to Blautia coccoides, a microorganism which belongs to Blautia schinkii, and a microorganism which belongs to Blautia hominis, all of which exhibit the ability to produce 8-prenylnaringenin from isoxanthohumol.
