Provided are a heat-shrinkable film and a heat-shrinkable label which, when applied to a container having a large difference in diameter between the barrel and the neck, sufficiently shrink on the neck and are less apt to have wrinkles or sink marks on the neck. The heat-shrinkable film includes a polyester obtained from a dicarboxylic acid ingredient comprising 95 mol% or more terephthalic acid and a diol ingredient comprising 50 mol% or more ethylene glycol and 15 mol% or more cyclohexanedimethanol. Upon 30-second immersion in 70°C water, the heat-shrinkable film has a degree of shrinkage in the main shrinkage direction of 20% or less. Upon 30-second immersion in 80°C water, the heat-shrinkable film has a degree of shrinkage in the main shrinkage direction of 45-65%. Upon 30-second immersion in 98°C water, the heat-shrinkable film has a degree of shrinkage in the main shrinkage direction of 65% or higher. |
