abstract | [Problem] To provide a means which enables a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery to decrease the internal resistance of the battery and to improve the cycle characteristics, while suppressing decrease of the energy density of the battery to the minimum, said nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using an electrode wherein an electrode active material layer, which is formed of a non-binding body that does not contain a binder which is crystallized by heating, is arranged on the surface of a collector. [Solution] A battery device according to the present invention comprises: a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is provided with an electric power generating element; and a pressing member which presses the electric power generating element in the stacking direction of the electric power generating element. This battery device is configured such that the electric power generating element comprises: a positive electrode that is obtained by forming a positive electrode active material layer, which is formed of a non-binding body containing a positive electrode active material, on the surface of a positive electrode collector; a negative electrode that is obtained by forming a negative electrode active material layer, which is formed of a non-binding body containing a negative electrode active material, on the surface of a negative electrode collector; and a separator which holds an electrolyte solution. In addition, this battery device satisfies mathematical formula (1) 0.1 < (T1 - T2)/T1 × 100 < 5, where T1 is the thickness of the thickest portion of the electric power generating element in the stacking direction thereof, and T2 is the thickness of the thinnest portion of the electric power generating element in the stacking direction thereof. |
