A polymer material, for use in manufacturing an intraocular lens which has high refractive index, and low adhesion at the lens surface, and suppresses glistening and sub-surface nano glistening. Also provided is an intraocular lens having the properties above. The polymer material can be preferably used for manufacturing an intraocular lens, and is obtained by polymerization of a liquid monomer mixture containing 11-30 wt% of macromonomer (A) as represented by the following formula (I) and at least one methacrylate monomer (B) having an aryl group. [In the formula, each of the four n is 1 or 2, each of a, b, c, and d is an integer of 4 or more, and each of the four z is separately a substituent containing a methacryloyl group.] |
