abstract |
This method for inducing conjunctival epithelial cells, conjunctival goblet cells and conjunctival epithelial stem/precursor cells is characterized in that a pluripotent stem cell colony is cultured and differentiation-induced in a culture medium including an epidermal growth factor (EGF) signal delivery activator. According to the present invention, it is possible to induce conjunctival epithelial cells, conjunctival goblet cells and conjunctival epithelial stem/precursor cells from pluripotent stem cells including iPS cells, and therefore the present invention is very useful for fundamental studies of conjunctival epithelial cells and conjunctival goblet cells, regenerative therapy on intractable ocular surface diseases or studies related to the disease. |
