A display device 1A is provided with: a frame 10 provided with a front part 11 disposed in front of an observer 50, a temple part 12 extending from both ends of the front part, and a pad part 17, the frame 10 being mounted on the head of the observer 50; and an image display device attached to the frame 10. The image display device is provided with an image-forming device 30, and an optical device 40 on which light emitted from the image-forming device 30 is incident, and from which the light is emitted toward the observer, one end 40A of the optical device being fixed to the temple-part side of the front part 11, another end 40B of the optical device being disposed on the pad-part side of the front part 11, and a shading member 60 for preventing the incidence of external light to the other end 40B of the optical device from above the other end 40B of the optical device being attached to the pad-part side of the front part 11. |
