Disclosed is a silane compound which contains a perfluoropolyether group and is represented by formula (1): Rf-X1-X2-NQkT2-k(1), wherein Rf is F-(CF2)m-(OC4F8)p-(OC3F6)q-(OC2F4)r-(OCF2)s-OC(Z)F-(CF2)t-; p, q, r and s are respectively integers of 0 or more and 200 or less; the sum of p, q, r and s is at least 1; in the formula, each repeating unit which includes p, q, r and s and which is in brackets is arbitrary in terms of sequence and amount; m and t are respectively integers of 0 or more and 30 or less; Z is F or CF3; X1 is a divalent organic group; X2 is a carbonyl, sulfuryl, or anhydride; each time T occurs, same is, respectively and independently, a hydroxyl group, a hydrolyzable group or a hydrocarbon group; each time Q occurs, same is, respectively and independently, -Y-SiR1 jR2 3-j; each time Y occurs, same is, respectively and independently, a divalent organic group; each time R1 occurs, same is, respectively and independently, an alkoxy group, a hydroxyl group or a group which can be hydrolyzed into a hydroxyl group; each time R2 occurs, same is, respectively and independently, C1-22alkyl or Q'; Q' has the same meaning as Q; in Q and Q', J is, respectively and independently, an integer selected from 0 to 3, and the sum of j is 1 or more; and k is, respectively and independently, 1 or 2.
