titleOfInvention | Systems and methods for forming direct drive microled displays |
abstract | A direct drive LED display comprises a glass substrate including multiple electrical connection vias extending from a first surface of the glass substrate to a second surface of the glass substrate, wherein an LED controller disposed over the second surface of the glass substrate is electrically connected to multiple microLEDs disposed near the first surface of the glass substrate via the multiple electrical connection vias. The multiple electrical connection vias are formed by plating multiple through hole vias from a conductive material layer formed on the first surface of the glass substrate to the second surface of the glass substrate by filling the multiple through hole vias with an electrolyte and charging the conductive material layer relative to the electrolyte. |
