abstract An ultrasound elastography method and a system, said method comprising the following steps: obtaining an ultrasound image of a body tissue under test; generating shear waves within the body tissue under test; exciting an array element of a ultrasound transducer to emit ultrasonic waves to form ultrasonic beams covering a first region within the body tissue under test; receiving an ultrasonic echo from the first region to obtain a second ultrasonic echo signal; and obtaining a transmission path of the shear waves within the first region according to the second ultrasonic echo signal.
