Method for isolating stem cells from human umbilical cord |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for isolation of umbilical cord-derived stem cells and, more particularly, to a method for isolation of umbilical cord-derived stem cells, through which a remarkable quantity of stem cells can be isolated from an umbilical cord having a certain size. The isolation method of the present invention can isolate stem cells from an umbilical cord tissue without enzymatic treatment and thus is very greatly advantageous in terms of significantly suppressing stress given to the cells. In addition, the stem cells isolated by the isolation method of the present invention are superior in cell proliferation potential to the stem cells isolated by conventional isolation methods. |
