Provided are a fully solid-state secondary battery and a method of manufacturing the same. The fully solid-state secondary battery comprises: a stack in which a positive electrode layer, a solid-state electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer are stacked in this order. Each of the layer has an area that satisfies [area of positive electrode layer] < [area of negative electrode layer] ≤ [area of solid-state electrolyte layer]; and, on one or both of a surface of the positive electrode layer on the opposite side to the side of the solid-state electrolyte layer and a surface of the negative electrode layer on the opposite side to the side of the solid-state electrolyte layer, a buffer layer that has an area greater than the area of the solid-state electrolyte layer and a Young's modulus smaller than that of any of the positive electrode layer, the solid-state electrolyte layer, and the negative electrode layer. The stack is in a state of being pressed via the buffer layer. |
