Epilepsy is most commonly diagnosed in children and in people over 65. Most antiepileptic drugs are bitter in taste and therefore sometimes become unacceptable- to patients when administered orally because of its smell, taste, aftertaste and feeling in the mouth. Additionally, solid oral dosage forms may not be suitable option for pediatric and geriatric patients or for the patients having swallowing difficulties. The present invention therefore describes liquid pharmaceutical compositions of antiepileptic drugs which are acceptable to all types of patients' population. |
