abstract | [Problem] To enable transfer of a body fluid absorbed by a surface sheet to the non-skin side without impairing the feeling of cotton that is soft to the touch. [Solution] A surface sheet (3) comprises a multilayer structure including a non-heat sealing layer (10) that is provided on the skin side and that is formed from cellulosic fibers, and a heat sealing layer (11) that is provided on the non-skin side and that is formed from heat-sealing fibers. The non-skin side of the surface sheet (3) is provided with a second sheet (6) formed from heat-sealing fibers. Numerous compression sections (15...) obtained by recessing the second sheet (6) and the surface sheet (3) integrally toward the skin side are formed on the non-skin side surface of the second sheet (6). The non-heat sealing layer (10) and the heat sealing layer (11) are joined to each other with fibers interlacing each other. The second sheet (6) is formed at a lower weight per area and a lower density than the heat sealing layer (11). The compression sections (15) are formed in an intermittent pattern. |
