This oxide ionic conductor comprises an oxide having a composition represented as Bix(NB1-a-BTaaAB)1-x-cBcOδ, where A is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, and Ga; B is at least one or at least two Group 2 elements; 0<x≤0.8, 0≤a≤1.0, 0≤B≤0.1, and 0<c<0.8; and δ is a value at which electroneutrality is maintained. The oxide ionic conductor preferably satisfies 0.2≤x≤0.8, 0<a<1.0, 0≤B≤0.1, and 0.1≤c≤0.6. This electrochemical device is achieved by using said oxide ionic conductor. |
