titleOfInvention | Fluorescein fluorescent fundus angiography device employing polarizing beam splitter and linear polarizing filter |
abstract | The present invention relates to a fluorescent fundus camera which is a kind of ophthalmological diagnostic equipment, more specifically, a kind of fluorescent fundus angiography camera, and which makes use of blue excitation rays appearing when a contract medium reaches retina blood vessels. If there is an abnormal blood vessel, the contrast medium leaks to the retina, or peripheral tissues appear colored. As such, damage to the retina or abnormal angiogenesis can be found. The present invention relates to a fluorescein fluorescent fundus angiography device employing a polarizing beam splitter and a linear polarizing filter and, more specifically, to a fluorescent fundus angiography device for observing a retina by using fluorescein as a contrast medium, the fluorescent fundus angiography device comprising: an excitation light source (10) which is a blue light source having a center wavelength of 470-490nm; a diffusing lens (20) for diffusing light introduced from the excitation light source (10); a lighting lens (30) for emitting light, which is introduced from the diffusing lens (20), at a predetermined emission angle; a mirror (40) for reflecting light introduced from the lighting lens (30); a polarizing beam splitter (50) for reflecting P-polarized light, among light introduced from the mirror (40), to an objective lens (60) and transmitting S-polarized light; an objective lens (60) for magnifying the image of a fundus formed by light introduced from the polarizing beam splitter (50); a short-distance ocular lens (70) for reducing or magnifying the image of the fundus magnified by the objective lens (60); a linear polarizing filter (80) for transmitting only the p-polarized light that has returned from the fundus, or transferring only the p-polarized light to the fundus; a light-blocking filter (90) having a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 40-50nm and filtering light having a center wavelength of 520-530nm or blocking light having a wavelength shorter than 500nm; an imaging element (100) having a spectrum that absorbs light having a center wavelength longer than 500nm by using light that has passed through the light-blocking filter (90); and an excitation filter (110) having a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 40nm or less and having a center wavelength of 480nm. |
