abstract The present invention relates to vesicles derived from Methylobacterium sp. bacteria, and a use thereof. The present inventors experimentally confirmed that: compared to those of a normal person, the vesicles are significantly reduced in clinical samples from patients with pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, lymphoma, myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy, variant angina, diabetes and Parkinson's disease; and when the vesicles isolated from a strain are administered, the secretion of inflammatory mediators by pathogenic vesicles, such as vesicles derived from Escherichia coli, is notably inhibited. Thus, the vesicles derived from Methylobacterium sp. bacteria, according to the present invention, may be usefully employed for the purpose of developing: a method for diagnosing pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, lymphoma, myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy, variant angina, diabetes or Parkinson's disease; and a composition for preventing, improving or treating said diseases.
