The invention describes a new general method for the aerobic rupture or oxidation of compounds having a tertiary carbon directly bonded to an aryl group, and polymers based on said structural monomeric unit, to provide the corresponding aryl ketone by means of the exclusive use of molecular oxygen as an oxidising agent. |
