abstract The invention relates to a method for producing and processing polymers or mixtures of polymers and additives, in particular additives which have a low apparent density, by means of extrusion. The extruder consists of multiple planetary roller extruder modules (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4) which are arranged one behind the other in the direction of extrusion, wherein the planetary roller extruder module provided for the introduction of the additives has a housing which has a radially enlarged cavity compared to the other planetary roller extruder modules such that a larger quantity of additive can be received in the cavity.
