abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel squarylium dye which enables a coloring resin composition to achieve chromaticity values equivalent to those of coloring resin compositions that contain conventional squarylium dyes even if the amount of the squarylium dye contained therein is small. The present invention is characterized by a compound represented by formula (I). (In formula (I), each of R1-R4 independently represents a hydrogen atom or the like; each of R5-R8 independently represents a hydrogen atom or the like; each of R9 and R10 independently represents a monovalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms, or the like; each of R11 and R12 independently represents a halogen atom or a halogenated alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms; and each of m1 and m2 independently represents an integer of 1-5.) |
