abstract | Provided is a polyester film which is for a dry film resist substrate and can be used as a substrate film in a dry film resist process for preparing a flexible printed wiring board or the like. This polyester film for a dry film resist substrate is characterized in that: a coating layer is provided on at least one side of a polyester film; the content of an antistatic agent in the coating layer is 45 mass% or less; particles are contained in the coating layer; the area percentage of particles AS having a particle diameter of 30-80 nm is in the range of 60-99.9%, and the area percentage of particles AL having a particle diameter of 100-400 nm is in the range of 0.1-15%, with respect to the total area of particles occupying the surface of the coating layer when the surface of the coating layer is observed; and particles exceeding a particle diameter of 1 μm are not substantially contained. |
