abstract A quick-dissolving novel dosage form of a gelatin product, relating in particular to a quick-dissolving block of a gelatin product and a preparation method therefor: raw materials are dissolved in water and concentrated to obtain a gelatin liquid; the gelatin liquid is dried to obtain an irregular honeycomb gelatin body; the gelatin body is pulverized and sieved to obtain a gelatin powder having a particle diameter of not less than 80 meshes; after the gelatin powder is wetted by using 85-95% of ethanol, the same is compressed at a compression ratio of 30%-60%, and the obtained compressed block is a quick-dissolving block of the gelatin product. The interior of the quick-dissolving block of the gelatin product has a loose porous structure and a high surface area/volume ratio, and the product density is 0.4-0.8 g/cm3; the block can be quickly dissolved in hot water within 2 minutes, the mouthfeel is crisp, and the block can be directly orally administrated, being able to meet the needs of consumers for convenient administration in different situations.
