Provided is a hydrocarbon resin that contains 0.1–50 wt% of a monomer unit that is derived from a tetracyclododecene compound. The hydrocarbon resin has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 500–4,000 and a Z average molecular weight (Mz) of 1,000–10,000, the ratio (Mz/Mw) of the Z average molecular weight to the weight average molecular weight being 1.0–4.0. The softening point of the hydrocarbon resin is 80°C–170°C. |
