abstract The present invention relates to a lubricant for reducing the friction of a sliding surface of a winter sports apparatus with respect to snow, water and/or ice, wherein the lubricant contains at least one lubricant component based on an indigoid molecule and is largely non-hazardous from both an ecological and an occupational health standpoint. The invention further relates to the use of the lubricant for reducing the friction of the sliding surfaces of the winter sports apparatus with respect to snow, water and/or ice and to a process for preparing the sliding surfaces of in particular skis, snowboards, skibobs, toboggans, sledges, skeletons or bobs.
