The invention also relates to a method for producing a heat-sensitive recording material or a heat-sensitive recording layer, and a method for producing a recording using the heat-sensitive recording material. The invention also relates to a plurality of submicrometre particles with a monomodal particle size distribution in the range of 290 nm to 750 nm, and to the use of, inter alia, a plurality of submicrometre particles, a coating colour, a coating composition or a heat-sensitive recording layer in the production of a heat-sensitive recording material. The invention also relates to a method for producing a plurality of submicrometre particles with a monomodal particle size distribution in the range of 290 nm to 750 nm. The invention further relates to the use of a melt of one or more lipophilic organic materials as an operating fluid in an electrodynamic printing system.
