abstract Provided is a plasticizer composition that can be used suitably for dispersing a particulate material composed of silica in a transparent resin to actualize mechanical properties and optical properties different than in the past. A plasticizer composition to be used in a transparent resin for optics, the plasticizer composition having: a composite aggregated particulate material having an inorganic aggregate material that is a granular material composed of aggregates of an inorganic particulate material composed of silica having a specific surface area grain size of 0.8-80 nm, and an organic coating material composed of an organic substance that covers the surface of the inorganic aggregate material, the mass of the organic coating material being 0.8-80% based on the sum of the mass of the inorganic aggregate material and the organic coating material; and a liquid plasticizer that disperses the composite aggregated particulate material. Both mechanical properties and optical properties can be achieved by admixing this plasticizer composition.
