titleOfInvention Insect trap
abstract An insect trap comprising a housing (10) and an upper cover (20) having an insect attracting light (21). The housing (10) is provided therein with a fan (12) and an insect trapping air duct (11) having an air duct inlet (111) and an air duct distal extremity (112). An air drawing opening of the fan (12) is connected to the air duct distal extremity (112). The air duct inlet (111) is arranged opposite the upper cover (20). The air duct inlet (111) is spiral; the cross-section diameter gradually decreases in the direction in which air flows. An insecticidal apparatus (17) is mounted within the insect trapping air duct (11). The insect trap attracts insects on the basis of the phototaxis of insects, employs a specifically designed air duct structure to trap the insects within the insect trap so as to increase trapping efficiency, also, with the combination of the air duct having the specific structural design and a corresponding aid, further increases insect trapping effects, and provides improved safeness, reliability, and applicability.
