In the present invention, a solid alkaline fuel cell (10) comprises a cathode (12), an anode (14), and an inorganic solid electrolyte body (16) configured from LDH. While the solid alkaline fuel cell (10) is used to generate electricity, the cathode-side surface (16S) of the inorganic solid electrolyte body (16) is exposed to an atmosphere containing carbon dioxide at between 600 and 20,000 ppm. |
