titleOfInvention | Method for calculating alcohol concentration |
abstract | According to the present invention, the concentration of alcohol is determined without performing a step for obtaining a distillate. An undistilled sample (volume V1) is heated while being steam distilled or adding water thereto, and the alcohol fraction is extracted to obtain a distillation residual liquid (volume V2) composed of an extract fraction and pure water. ρCA (specific gravity A), which is the density after the distillation residual liquid is returned to the initial volume (V1), is obtained, and ΔρCA , which is the difference thereof with the density of pure water, is obtained. The density obtained by subtracting ΔρCA from ρSAMP , which is the density of the undistilled sample, is the density corresponding to the alcohol concentration obtained after correcting for errors due to the extract fraction in the undistilled sample on the basis of a modified form of a formula for calculating the extract fraction E in a sample composed of alcohol and pure water. |
