abstract The present application discloses a plurality of novel derivatives of cucurbitacin B and cucurbitacin E, and salts thereof, and also discloses methods for preparing these novel derivatives. These new derivatives and their salts have common basic structures with cucurbitacin B and cucurbitacin E, respectively, and therefore have basically the same properties as those of cucurbitacin B and cucurbitacin E, i.e., good anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and liver-protecting effects, and low toxic side effects.
