The present invention provides: a cosmetic composition comprising cholesteric liquid crystal particles having an average diameter of 50-500 μm; and a preparation method therefor. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention comprises cholesteric liquid crystal particles having a controlled average diameter and a narrow particle size distribution, and thus the expression of viewing angle dependence in which a color or a color tone changes according to the viewing angle is improved. |
