abstract Provided is a method in which astatine-211 can be isolated/purified at high yield and dissolved in a solution. This method for producing astatine-211 includes: a step for irradiating bismuth with α rays to generate astatine-211 in the bismuth; and a step for distilling, using an inert gas and a carrier gas including O2 and H2O, the bismuth irradiated with the α rays to isolate/purify the astatine-211, and for dissolving the astatine-211 in a solution.
