abstract The invention relates to a polymer-based substrate, which can be coated in particular electrostatically, the substrate having a basic substrate body manufactured using a polymer material and a two-layer or multi-layer coating applied to a surface region of the basic substrate body. A first layer of the coating is formed as an adhesive layer and is arranged in contact with the surface region of the basic substrate body, and a second layer of the coating is formed as a paintable cover layer, at least one layer of the coating being produced as a layer having reduced surface resistance using a proportion of an electrically non-insulating material, such that a specific surface resistance of this layer of approximately 10 10 Ohm or less results, and at least one layer of the coating is formed as a film.
