abstract According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a method for producing a peracetic acid composition to be used as a food additive, said method comprising a step for mixing an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, an acetic acid solution and a substance which contains 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid, wherein the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution contains 10 μg/kg or more of aluminum and 30-40 mass% of hydrogen peroxide.
