The invention discloses a polylactic acid composite material and application thereof. The polylactic acid composite comprises the following components: (A) 89-98 parts by weight of polylactic acid; (B) 1-4 parts by weight of talc powder; and (C) 1-7 parts by weight of a plasticizer. For the component (A), the polylactic acid has a dispersity index P satisfying the relationship: 1.55 ≤ P ≤ 2.02. For the component (B), the talc powder has a particle diameter D(50) satisfying the relationship: 1 μm ≤ D(50) ≤ 2.6 μm. For the component (C), the plasticizer has a relative molecular weight M satisfying the relationship: 180 ≤ M ≤ 670. The invention is based on the unexpected discovery that, by using the polylactic acid with a polydispersity index P satisfying the relationship: 1.55 ≤ P ≤ 2.02 as a matrix, adding ultrafine talc powder in a specific range as a nucleating agent, and selecting the plasticizer with a specific molecular weight as a crystallization accelerator, the polylactic acid composite material prepared therefrom has a light transmittance (T) ≥ 80%, a haze (H) ≤ 40%, and a heat distortion temperature (HDT) ≥ 90°C, along with a remarkably improved heat resistance and transparency. |
