abstract | Provided is a novel method for producing a hydrocarbon compound that enables efficient hydrocarbon compound production. This method for producing a hydrocarbon compound involves: (a) feeding gas containing oxygen into water, irradiating the oxygen in the water with light in the presence of an optical catalyst to generate active oxygen and thereby prepare active-oxygen-containing water; and (b) mixing the active-oxygen-containing water, an alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a liquid substance containing a hydrocarbon compound and subjecting the mixture to impact in a carbon-dioxide-containing atmosphere. In this method for producing a hydrocarbon compound, the amount of hydrocarbon compound in the mixture subjected to impact represents an increase over the amount of hydrocarbon compound in the liquid substance. |
