abstract |
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal alignment agent which contains a polyimide which is a reaction product of a diamine component and a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride component comprising at least one species selected from a dianhydride of aliphatic tetracarboxylic acid and an alicyclic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, the diamine component containing at least one species selected from the diamines represented by the formula [A], and the imidization rate of the polyimide being greater than or equal to 70%. In the formula: P 1 and P 2 are phenyl or biphenyl, and a hydrogen atom on an aromatic ring thereof may be substituted with a methyl group or a fluorine group; Q is a divalent organic group, and n1 and n2 are integers from 0 to 5, Q being an oxygen atom when n1 and / or n2 are 0. |
