abstract The present invention relates to a molecular trap for the selective capture of carbon disulfide and other related toxic compounds which consists of a metal complex belonging to the last groups of transition elements capable of forming plane-square complexes, stabilized by a chelating ligand that occupies three of the coordination positions of the metal, while the fourth coordination position is occupied by a pyrazolate ligand, or similar elements that contain nitrogen, free or potentially donor.
