abstract The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a custom applicator (1) for applying a cosmetic composition to the lips, this applicator (1) comprising an application surface (2) made from a material which can to be loaded with the composition, the method comprising the following steps: a) performing a 3D scan of the topography of at least a portion of the surface of the lips, and b) at least from said scanning, the creation of at least a portion of the applicator (1) or a mold used for its manufacture, by machining a preform or by additive manufacturing.
