abstract |
A vaping device (10) includes a housing (16) and a spray heater (40) mounted within the housing (16). A cartridge (30) within the device (10) defines a reservoir (21a) containing a pre-vapor formulation. A chip (41) on one end of the cartridge (30) defines an interconnection hole (41a) in fluid communication with the reservoir (21a). The chip (41) comprises an ejector (41c) in fluid communication with the via hole (41a), the ejector (41c) being configured to eject droplets of the pre-vapor formulation towards the spray heating (40). A method of manufacturing the device (10) includes connecting a chip (41) to an end of the cartridge (30), the ejector (41c) ejecting droplets from the pre-vapor formulation toward the vaporising heater (40). A method of operation of the device (10) includes providing a first electrical current to the vaporization heater (40) for supplying the vaporization heater (40) and providing a second electric current to the ejector (41c) for feeding the ejector (41c) and ejecting droplets of a pre-steam formulation from the ejector (41c) toward the vaporizing heater (40). |
