SELF-POWERED WIRELESS POWER SENSOR FOR EFFICIENT BUILDING MANAGEMENT |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a sensor for measuring a current flow, comprising a housing containing a power generation circuit and a current measuring circuit. The sensor is fully autonomous and can be non-invasively attached to a driver. The sensor is self-powered by energy collected by the power generation circuit. The current measuring circuit provides continuous and uninterrupted measurement of at least one property associated with the current flow through the conductor. The sensor wirelessly transmits data relating to the measured current flow to a computing device. The sensor may be used with other similar sensors to form a wireless sensor array that monitors one or more properties associated with the flow of current through one or more conductors within a system. |
