abstract | The invention relates to a method for evaluating the analytical performance of a biochemical substance measured using a multi-analyte assay. The method comprises the analytical validation of a measurement of the level of a first biochemical substance in a sample, the first biochemical substance having been previously validated for three or more analytical validation conditions; measuring the level of a second biochemical substance in a sample, the second biochemical substance being structurally or biochemically related to the first biochemical substance; and comparing the validation parameters of the first biochemical substance with validation parameters of the second biochemical substance to determine whether the performance of the second biochemical substance is acceptable based on the results of the comparison. |
