abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for fixing gaseous carbon dioxide in the form of a carbonyl compound represented by the formula (3) as described in Figure 1 and comprising purging the carbon dioxide in a solution of a nucleophile represented by the formula (1) in the presence of a solvent at a temperature between -40 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius, followed by the addition of a reagent at a temperature ranging from -40 degrees to 35 degrees, then adding another nucleophile represented by the formula (2) to obtain a carbonyl compound represented by the formula (3). The present invention can be advantageously used to obtain commercially important carbonyl compounds and to clean undesirable carbon dioxide gas from the atmosphere and industrial effluents. |
