abstract | An inventory system may include a tagged inventory item, the tagged inventory item comprising a radio field tag attached to an inventory item; and an inventory device, the inventory device comprising a weighing surface, an array of force detection resistors, and at least one radio field antenna, the force detection resistance network and the antenna or antennas. Radio field being configured to weigh and identify the tagged inventory item across the weighing surface, and associated methods of use. An advantage of the system and method of the invention is that they allow inventory monitoring with varying amounts of content in real time. |
